The mobilie video sharing revolution
Google has reported recently that mobile video uploads to YouTube have increased by 400% just in a week, since the launch of the new iPhone 3GS. It seems that iPhone 3GS users are big fans of video-sharing. Moreover, Google said that in the last six months, uploads from mobile phones to YouTube have jumped 1,700%.
According to Google this growth represents three things coming together:
“new video-enabled phones on the market, improvements to the upload flow when you post a video to YouTube from your phone, and a new feature on YouTube that allows your videos to be quickly and effortlessly shared through your social networks.”
If there where some doubts among market analysts and technology bloggers about mobile video sharing future, now we have the first statistics quantifying the mobile video upload impact, and they are very impressive.
